Congreso Puertorriqueño de Web e-ducación
El Instituto de Educación a Distancia
de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón convoca a todos los interesados
a participar en el Cuarto Congreso Puertorriqueño de Web e-ducación,
que se celebrará el 5 y 6 de mayo de 2005 en el Embassy Suites
Hotel en Isla Verde, Puerto Rico.
El congreso se dirige a los profesionales en el campo de la tecnología
Web aplicada a la educación. Académicos, programadores,
investigadores y público en general son invitados a presentar sus
trabajos y a participar.

Licenciado en pedagogía y postgraduado en Educación Abierta
y a Distancia por la Open University (UK). Ha sido profesor en diferentes
niveles del sistema educativo español. También ejerce como
consultor superior en diferentes proyectos sobre educación a distancia
en Europa y América. Actualmente es director de numerosos proyectos
de investigación en e-learning como especialista en educación
a distancia.

to video and ITV - and has been a tireless advocate for online and other
forms of distance learning for many years. |

Videoconference: Moodle: A Free Open Source LMS for Online
Learning
Lead developer of Moodle.
His experience has been in education at a tertiary level, was a webmaster
of a large university since the web started, and manager of a WebCT system
for many years after that. His education includes a postgraduate degree
in Computer Science and Education and, a PhD entitled "The use of
Open Source software to support a social constructionist epistemology
of teaching and learning within Internet-based communities of reflective
inquiry". His current project is the development of Moodle.
